The Mountain Race, as it is locally known, was first run in 1960 as part of the village show and every year since 1973 (excluding 2001 foot & mouth). It is a traditional village show fell race, one from the showground to the highest local peak and back.
The race is held each year on August Bank Holiday Monday as part of the Cilcain Show.
Online Entries (£4.50 inc processing fee) or Entry on day (£7). NOTE: entry fee does not include showground entry fee this year. Please please signup online as make the reg teams job so much easier & quicker and allows the results & presentations to be done much earlier.
