Ominous skies earlier on never materialised into anything more than a fresh breeze and a few light showers. 75 runners set off and all came back (eventually). A few interesting navigational choices for sure!
Joel Gomes & Katy Baugh came home with the spoils. On the gents side it was “Day of the old duffers” with the Vets taking 8 out of the top 10 places. The ladies were much better organised 😉
Cake & soup flowed. Super big shout out the NEWSAR crew who did a great job on the fells and my awesome team in the kitchen.
Decided it wasn’t wet enough – back to the traditional November slot next year…. someone also commented that the route to CP6 was too easy and that there was a path forming… foolish comments 😉
